General Tricks:

Search: Swipe down from the middle of the screen.
Control Center: Swipe down from the top right hand corner.
Undo: Shake your phone to undo what you were typing/doing.
Announce Calls: If you are working and want the phone to announce the caller go in to Settings, Phone, Announce Calls.
QR Scanning: This can be done via the photo app.
Join a WIFI network with a QR code: Go to this website to create a QR code which you can scan on the iPhone to join the phone to a wifi network.
Scan Documents as PDF: Open the Notes App. Create a new note, press the photo icon, click Scan Documents.
Remove a number in the Calc App: Swipe left or right  on the number to delete a digit.
Hide photos: Click on the share button on a photo and you will find the hide option.
Clock: Did you notice the clock icon shows the correct time?

Phone model specific Tricks:

iPhone 1st Gen-8:
Swap between apps: Double press the home button.

iPhone 6s: (Home Button: Y)
Force a restart: Press and hold down the ‌Sleep/Wake button on the right side of the handset. With the Sleep/Wake button still held down, press and hold the Home button.
Continue to hold both buttons while the display remains blank, until it comes back on with the Apple logo showing.
Enter recovery DFU mode: Connect iPhone to a PC with iTunes and a USB cable connected. Hold down both the home and Sleep/Wake button. After 8 seconds, release the Sleep/Wake button while continuing to hold down the home button. If the Apple logo appears the lock button was held down for too long.

iPhone 7: (Home Button: Y)
Force a restart: Hold down the Volume Down button on the left side of the device and the Sleep/Wake button on the right side of the device at the same time.
Now, hold the buttons for approximately 10 seconds until the screen goes dark and an Apple logo appears on the screen. Release the buttons and wait while you iPhone restarts.
Enter recovery DFU mode: Connect iPhone to a PC with iTunes and a USB cable connected. Hold down both the Volume down and Sleep/Wake button. After 8 seconds, release the Sleep/Wake button while continuing to hold down the Volume down. If the Apple logo appears the lock button was held down for too long.

iPhone 8: (Home Button: Y)
Force a restart: Quickly press and release the Volume up button, Volume Down button and then press and hold the right side button until the Apple logo appears and then release the side button.
Enter recovery DFU mode: Connect iPhone to a PC with iTunes and a USB cable connected. Force a restart but don’t release the side button. Quickly press Volume up, press Volume down, press and hold the right side button until you see the Connect to itunes screens.

iPhone X, XS, XS Max, XR and onwards: (Home button: N)
Jump between apps: Swipe left or right on the home bar. To access the previous app you were using swipe left on the home bar. You need to swipe right on the home bar to go back to the first app.
Force a restart: Quickly press and release the Volume up button, quickly press and release Volume Down button and then press and hold the right side button until the Apple logo appears and then release the side button.
Enter recovery DFU mode: Connect iPhone to a PC with iTunes and a USB cable connected. Force a restart but don’t release the side button. Quickly press Volume up, press Volume down, press and hold the right side button until you see the Connect to itunes screens.

iPhone X, XS, XS Max, XR: (Home button: N)
This model and onwards does not have a home button.

iPhone 11/Pro/Pro Max: (Home button: N)
