Mac Office 2016 & Webdav

I recently noticed an issue with a user using Office 2016 (Mac – El Capitan) and accessing Office files with a webdav connection to a server.

It appears editing Office files on a webdav connection in Office 2016 (Mac) is not supported. See this link.

A workaround was to setup CyberDuck and download the word doc, make the changes and re-upload it to the webdav server.

By the way have you seen the RAVPower FileHub? It's a travel Router with wifi AC750 300Mbps Wi-Fi on 2.4Ghz or 433 Mbps on 5Ghz. It includes an SD Card Reader, 6700mAh Battery and can connect an SSD hd. Make this a portable NAS to store your pics and videos or upload your SD card pics/videos to a SSD hd. This is a bargain for under $60. (Amazon USA Link)

I have confirmed that Apple has corrected the Office 2016/webdav issue in macOS Sierra. You can properly open and save documents stored on webdav locations natively in Office applications on the Sierra developer preview.
